Your browser does all of it. It asks the public Sentinel‑2 catalogue what scenes cover your box, reads the pixels it needs straight out of the archive on AWS with byte‑range requests, puts every date on one shared grid, and fits the change detection here on your machine.
Nothing about where you look reaches a server of mine, because there isn’t one in the path. There is no proxy and there will not be one: a proxy would put every visitor’s area of interest in a log, which is the whole thing this design exists to avoid.
It is a preview, and here is what that means. The desktop tool reads at native 10 m, keeps hundreds of dates, imports drone and Landsat rasters onto the same grid, and exports films with the changed regions drawn in. This page reads the 20 m overview by default and a couple of dozen dates, because a tile is a tile whether you need all of it or not, and the alternative is asking you to download a few hundred megabytes.
The change detection itself is not simplified. It is the same single change‑point fit, gated against each pixel’s own measured scatter, and it was checked against the desktop tool pixel by pixel — the two agree exactly, or this would not be up. The Shuffle the dates button is there so you can check that claim yourself rather than take it from me.
